After playing for Vanguard, Pup signed with the Phillies for a couple of years and then traveled down under to play in Australia. He then returned to complete school and has been in youth ministry for twenty years.

He and his wife Anastasia have three children: Zachariah, Samuel, and Ruthie.

Pup was introduced to FCA by Joe & Faythe Broussard, and in 2009 they blessed him with the opportunity to shepherd the FCA Huddles in Clovis Unified. He currently serves as the Director of Northern California for FCA.
